Hi, I’m Abby.
Therapist who values reflection, connection, and purpose
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping people make sense of their inner worlds, build emotional resilience, and create real change in their lives. My work centers on therapy that is warm, honest, direct, and grounded in practical skills rather than buzzwords or quick fixes.
I work with people who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in patterns that drain them, or uncertain of how to get from where they are now to where they want to be. My approach combines relational depth, evidence-based strategies, and a focus on discovery over judgment. In therapy with me, you will be seen, heard, and encouraged to grow at a pace that feels right for you.
My Journey Into Therapy
I did not set out to be a therapist in the traditional way. My path has been shaped by getting close to my own struggles with anxiety, motivation, and the sense that something meaningful was missing, even while life looked “fine” on the outside. These experiences taught me the profound difference between coping and thriving, between surviving and living with purpose.
Through my own growth, I came to deeply value spaces where people could be met with compassion, curiosity, and honesty. I gravitated toward clinical social work because it allows me to combine relational insight with practical skills that clients can use outside of session. I wanted a role where I could slow down enough to understand the whole person, not just symptoms on a checklist.
Therapy is work. It takes courage and willingness. But it is also a place of refuge, clarity, and possibility.
Outside of the Office
I value connection, reflection, creativity, and groundedness. I enjoy being in nature, reading, and engaging in work that brings perspective and calm. These interests inform how I show up in therapy: attentive, curious, and interested in your whole life, not only your symptoms.
A Note on Therapy With Me
I believe people are not broken. They are often overwhelmed by inner pressure, expectations, and patterns that developed for understandable reasons. Therapy offers a chance to understand, practice new ways of being, and build confidence in a life that feels purposeful and true.
You do not have to have all the answers to begin therapy. You just need honesty, willingness, and curiosity about yourself.
What Shapes My Practice
Clients often tell me that working with me feels safe, grounded, and deeply human. I believe therapy is about connection first, strategy second.
Compassion Without Clichés
I will sit with your experience without trying to fix you before we truly understand you.
Clarity Over Complexity
We explore thought and behavior patterns in ways that feel relevant rather than abstract.
Skills That Work in Real Life
I integrate strategies from acceptance-based and solution-focused therapies to help you navigate anxiety, decision making, relationships, and emotional regulation.
Growth Through Understanding
Healing happens when people are brave enough to look inward with support, not pressure.
I meet you where you are, neither minimizing your pain nor pushing you faster than you are ready to move.
What Clients Say Feels Different
People who choose therapy with me often describe it as:
A place where they can speak honestly without fear of judgment
A space that feels both supportive and clear
A collaborative journey rather than a lecture
Moments of insight followed by meaningful action
Feeling understood before learning how to move forward
Growth is rarely straightforward, but people consistently tell me they feel less alone and more capable with guidance tailored to their experience.
